40, Fabulous and Finally Ready

I thought I would be married with little people (aka children) in my early 20s. If anyone had told me that that would not be the case, I would have thought they were lying. So here I am finally ready to do some #adulting after a very full life of adventure, character building, hardships, trials and tribulations, transitions and travel. My life, along with the lives of my immediate family, was turned upside down on Thurs, 12/14/17 when my Dad suffered three strokes. My Mom is now his primary caregiver and my siblings and I (especially my youngest brother and I) are his secondary caregivers. Now that I am focused on purchasing a home of my own, I am realizing so many things I could have done differently in my youth, and yet I'm doing my best to stay positive, in the present and to learn from the past. I don't have to wait for a partner to purchase a home. I'd love to do it now so that I can also be able to focus on some business opportunities that will hopefully set me up financially so that I can pay for a 24-hour caregiver so that my Mom can be alleviated of caregiving and can go back to being my Dad's wife. Thanks in advance for your generosity. I promise I will honor you always. joyfully yours, Chidimma
