Ernie's First House! (or, Room for Justice!)
For the first time in my life, owning a home feels possible... -ish.
Right now, I'm staying with my girlfriend Kara in her 600sqft two-bedroom condo. That might almost sound workable - but when you add a fast-growing kid (Justice, pictured, 4.5y), me working from home, two cats, a small dog, and about 100sqft used for storage - that doesn't leave a lot of space for any of us to really live in.

... And so, I'm working with a local non-profit (DevNW) which helps Oregonians work toward home ownership. DevNW is building new homes in a Community Land Trust starting this year - and they can offer a three-bedroom house for less than half of Zillow's average home value for our state. (currently showing $525,000)

The homes being built are for lower-income Oregonians, and even though I have never earned more for my time than right now, I'm still just below the median income for my zone - so I qualify as long as I don't get any raises - but I've had difficulty building up a reasonable down-payment.

Here's where you come in... Haha.
I have a Fantasticâ„¢ opportunity to invest in my -and Justice's - future, but we need your help.
