As a teacher and single mother, there’s no way I can afford a 2-bedroom home in Flagstaff, even with assistance from the city and county. After years of disappointment, I’m becoming more proactive. I’m simply not going to accept failure. I’m making valuable contributions to the community as an educator, musician, mother, and conscientious citizen, and we deserve to stay here without me paying half my salary to rent a home that’s falling down.
