As many of you know, our family was devastated in January, 2015 when our oldest son, Joseph, suddenly fell into a coma from an asthma attack. We endured a lengthy battle with the medical community who wanted to declare him brain dead and harvest his organs. We left our home in Texas and everything we owned to travel to New Jersey to try and save him. Unfortunately, he passed away in July of 2015. Since that time, our family has been trying to heal, both emotionally from the great void that Joseph's passing has left in our lives, and, in a more worldly way, from the financial devastation that the loss of our house and the medical bills left on our credit. We have three other children, who through no fault of their own have been uprooted and have moved from rental to rental for over two years now. Recently, through a miracle, we have been granted the opportunity to be approved for a new mortgage. However, we have to come up with the 3.5% down payment on the modest home that we have found. Please help us give our children a small semblance of the happiness and security that we all lost that night in January, 2015. Thank you.
