Two years ago, we decided to give an unusual living situation a try. It turns out, however,  that two mothers-in-law in one house is too much stress, no matter how awesome those mothers-in-law are. Also, that's too many grandmas spoiling our (already spoiled) kiddo. So the great Extended Family Commune is nearing its end. Donna has decided that it's finally time to move in with Roy, while Chris, Rebecca, Toby, and Jayne are excited to move back to the Dallas side of the Metroplex. 

We are planning to stay in the house through February so we don't have the stress of moving while dealing with holidays and then Toby's birthday. Plus, everyone knows Spring is a good selling season 🙂. 

In order to get the most return on our investment, there are some things the house needs. We never did replace the teal carpet when we moved in, the water heater is on its last leg, and we'd love to finish the window replacement we started in the fall. At the time, budget restrictions kept 3 large windows from being replaced, and "all new windows" would probably read better than "some new windows" in the listing. Finally, one side of the back fence needs to be replaced. 

We realize that none of this is anyone's problem but our own, but Christmas is coming up! We thought this might be a relatively simple way for those who plan to get us gifts to contribute to a gift that we would all LOVE! 

Note: this is just a suggestion. If you have your heart set on getting us a picture frame or a bottle of wine, we won't be mad. We'll still be getting you the customary books/cologne/picture frames we know you're super excited about getting 😂😂😂

Additional note: this is our way of having a simple way for our family and friends to help us for Christmas. But I understand this is public. If there are any random people out there thinking to themselves "I'd really like to just give these people my money", we would be eternally grateful. I'll bake you some cookies or help you prop up your online dating profile with a glowing review. 😉
