Make Mandatory Fixes to Home -- Service Disabled Veteran

Hello, I am a service-disabled Air Force veteran who was recently taken advantage of by a contractor I found on Home Advisor.  I paid NOVA Glass and Shower Door money to reframe all of the windows on my residence.  I was in the process of refinancing my home and the VA Inspector stated that the window had to be reframed before she would sign off on the refinancing.

I found NOVA Glass and Shower Door on Home Advisor and after meeting with them, I hired them to complete the work.  My home pass the Inspection and I was able to refinance.  However, three months after the work was completed, the paint started chipping away from the frames, and underneath the paint, was rotten wood.  So basically the contractor used rotten wood, and painted over the frames, to look new.

Well, when you do people wrong, your deliberate actions come back to bite you.  If you are reading this post, and would like to see the windows, please email me and I will send you all of the photos I took.  There are a lot of them so have to send using DropBox.

I am currently hung up in court suing the contractor and Home Advisor for the shabby work.  But I have home inspections that are performed by the Home Owners Association, and I have already been written up once for my windows.  I cannot afford another write-up.  In the meantime, NOVA Glass and Shower Door has disenrolled from Home Advisor.  Home Advisor will not take any ownership of what happened.  But as I have told them, I hired the contractor based upon the 5-star rating Home Advisor listed on their website.

Now it feels as though I'm stuck.  I have been unable to get in touch with anyone from NOVA Glass and Shower Door and Home Advisor will not entertain anymore of my phone calls about this topic.  Thank you so very much for reading, and for any who choose to donate to this project, thank you.
