OASIS: HOMEBASE

I am 59 years old and have never considered buying a home before because 1) I did not think it was possible and 2) I thought that one would need almost $30,000 to get a start on it and I didn't have that kind of money.  More importantly, I have had to place my husband in an assisted living facility because he needs monitoring for his health concerns and I am somewhat homeless myself though I rent a room in my sister's house, but I would like for him to come home and be taken care of there.  I feel he would be better off surrounded by our many grandchildren and I would be able to have someone come in during the day to administer to his health concerns and I would be there at night to see to them.  More than anything, I would like to have a home for him to be comfortable in.  I need help with getting a down payment to make having a home a reality.  I want to be able to have enough to get a house with a huge basement so that kids can play and a yard big enough so that family can come over and visit with one another. My husband and I have 14 biological grandchildren and another 5 grandchildren who are a part of our blended family and I am the mother to 6 and stepmom to 3 and I have no place to house everyone. To ask for help on this kind of medium is also a stretch.  No false pride here.  If I fall flat on my face and come up against  a rejection of this request, I get it. I would have never thought to do something like this before, and nothing beats a failure but a try is something I have heard all my life and right now, this is a "but a try".   Please, please help!
