My family and I had planned on purchasing our first  home in the year of 2020. This is the goal we had set for ourself for our 3 year wedding anniversary and had been saving for it since 2018. As we all know, Covid-19 fell upon us very unexpectedly and we really started facing some tough times. I personally own my own contracting business. But during a pandemic, not very many people want others in their homes or working with their things and that has really slowed down our work. My wife is a Branch Manager for an office. Due to the pandemic, they cut the chance for anykind of ovetime and cut out bonuses for the rest of the year. We currently have a growing 3 year old son and also have my mom living with us. My mother-in-law has recently gone through a divorce and we are doing our best to help her during these trying curcumstances. All of our plans for a new home have been crushed and our lease is coming to an end very soon. Our landlord has recently informed us that he will be increasing the rent $500 if we want to stay here. We have been searching for homes, but again, thanks to the current pandemic, it is not been very easy. All of our savings has gone towards making up for the loses suffered during Covid and helping out our family.Any and all help will be more than appreciated.
