The Fun:

Our boys need their own rooms. Desperately. Harbor needs it quiet to sleep, and Sam likes everything loud!

We need an attic for the holiday stuff, for the boys hand me downs, for our keepsakes, and for all the stuff just doesn't fit in closets.

We need a basement for all the stuff we can't carry up the attic stairs, for the extra crockpots, the canned food, and a fun place for the kids to play during quarantine 2.0. Because it's coming.

We need land for gardening, for boats, for chickens, and for boys to run and play.

and... we need a garage to hide all our boys toys, our lawnmowers, tools and maybe a car.

The Details: 

We've found a great property on the island that would give us ALL of that, we just need build our down payment.  This house is near uncle Heath, has over 15 acres of wooded land, has 3 bedrooms, but is in need of some TLC.  With some sweat it would be an amazing investment and home for our boys, but it currently is not eligible for a traditional mortgage. We plan to work with a non-traditional lender who requires 20% down, that's where we need help!  

The Background: 

We have been looking for a different housing situation for about 3 years.  If you live on or around Deer Isle you know how hard that can be.  We have had several possibilities, but for one reason or another they did not work out. Although living near Ahmah (Grammy) and Buppa (Grampa) has a lot of benefits, we have had several issues with other people on the property we currently live on, and would like a fresh start.
