Holly's Mid Century Modern Dream Home

So here's the situation:

I'm a single 29 year old who bought my first home 3 years ago. It was a rushed experience because I only had about a 2 month period to look and get moved in. I had zero down payment and at that time there was no first time home buyer money incentives, which sucked. Because I had only been pre approved for $90,000 at the time, my options were slim. Sooooo I ended up in a house I like, but the area is super shady apparently. I have nightmare neighbors with wild ass kids constantly trespassing and damaging my things. There's also a decent amount of crime around me courtesy of the city's interactive crime map. Because of that, many businesses won't build out here so that means if I want any kind of entertainment or food that isn't a fast food chain, I get to drive to the other side of the county. #firstworldproblems

I REALLY want to move and to a nicer area, into a home that doesn't need major repairs, because I am not a Lowe's employee. I will totally fuck that up.

I've always said I was born in the wrong era and LOVE 60's and 70's everything. If I could, I would de-value this home I'm in right now. Hence, my dream home has always been a mid century modern (think the Brady Bunch house). Unfortunately, at least here in Louisville, they are STUPID expensive. :(

If I move, by god, I'm moving into a mid century modern whether it kills me. Or a stray bullet by someone driving down my street does first.

This money will go towards my down payment this go around, which I'm saving up for too, but am struggling with considering I'm in school and racking up debt from that for these next couple years. And because I like to impulse purchase random shit.

Being an adult is dumb. Donate a buck if you feel compelled. Or don't.

Thanks.
