Praise the LORD, we have been able to add to our downpayment. We are still in need of $45,000
As many of you know, in May 2018, I (Brandon) accepted a position at Biola University, located in La Mirada, CA. In God’s infinite kindness, He blessed us with a beautiful home to rent. It accommodates our large family! It is also 5 blocks from my job; a 5-minute walk from the elementary school; and 1 mile from the high school. Nearly 3 years later, God has seen fit to continue our ministry here. Earlier this year (after 2 ½ years of renting this home), the owners notified us that they would like to sell the home the home and they would like to sell it to us. . .at a price well below market value. This is an incredible opportunity seeing as how the current California housing market is crazy! There are no other homes nearby that are comparable in size and in price. It is imperative that we do all that we can to purchase this house, because to find something else (to rent or buy) comparable in size and price would require a 2-hour commute (one-way) to my job.
We are in escrow, however, to close by the end of this month, we need a sizeable down payment. We have a portion of it, but we are still in need of $40,000. If you would, please prayerfully consider making a contribution of any size. May the Lord continue to richly bless you.
